In today’s edition of ‘royals, they’re just like us’, comes the news that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are into reality TV – and there’s one show they’re hooked on.
Apparently after a long day of being royal and fabulous, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex like nothing more than chilling on the couch and watching an episode of The Voice Kids. Yep, that’s right.
Sadly we were kind of hoping it was going to be a little trashy than that – The Bachelor, Love Island, Married At First Sight… but still.
Donel Mangena, a former finalist on the UK version of the singing show revealed on chat show Lorraine that he met the royal couple and apparently they kind of freaked out.
“Harry and Meghan walked in and I expected a handshake, but Meghan screamed my name and ran over to give me a hug.” Donel recalled proudly, adding that Harry had told him “our money’s on you,” to which he jokingly replied: “Thanks Harry, no pressure.”
Harry and Megs have made no secret of their love of staying in – they even got engaged at home over a roast chook – and cooking meals at home – yeah if we lived in a palace we probs would never leave either…
