“Though this action may not be the safe one, it is the right one. Because my deepest fear is history repeating itself,” Prince Harry said in his statement. “I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditised to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.”
While his intentions are good, Harry allegedly didn’t consult anyone before the announcement, and it may have caused even more tension within the royal family.
According to Daily Express royal correspondent Richard Palmer, Meghan and Harry have no support from their royal relatives or house attendants. “Nobody in the Royal Family or the Royal Household is supporting Harry and Meghan at the moment,” Richard tweeted. “Even the couple’s aides seem embarrassed by their actions. William, who dropped his brother like a ton of hot bricks earlier this year, and Charles have distanced themselves.”
It seems the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have reached their limit, as it’s been reported that they are thinking about moving to Canada.
“Meghan and Harry have considered moving to Canada, as it’s part of the Commonwealth,” a source told Us Weekly. “Meghan and Harry are considering it for the future,” the source added.
You know what other country is part of the Commonwealth Megs and Harry? Australia.
