Could Prince Harry possibly be more perfect? If this latest official speech is any indication, yes – he absolutely can.
Last week, The Queen appointed Prince Harry the President of The Queen’s Commonwealth Trust, her new youth charity that aims to give young people across the Commonwealth a voice to speak about education, sport, health and the environment.
Prince Harry opened the session of the Youth Forum and in his speech, thanked his gorgeous fiancé Meghan, hinting that she might be involved in the future. That distant sound you hear? Only the audience swooning.
“In my new role, I will work to support The Queen, my father The Prince of Wales, and my brother William, all of whom know that young people are the answer to the challenges of today,” he said.
“I am also incredibly grateful that the woman I am about to marry, Meghan, will be joining me in this work, of which she too is hugely excited to take part in.”
This hint by Harry could be their very first job together as a royal couple and could mean huge news for how they are represented internationally- and what they can do for global issues.
The heartfelt speech was opened with a tribute to his grandmother, describing her as “the ultimate source of guidance on all things Commonwealth”.
“Her Majesty’s commitment has meant that The Commonwealth is a thriving family of nations, a common link between nearly two and a half billion people, and a defender of democracy, justice, and peace,” Prince Harry said.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will marry on May 19 and visit Sydney later this year for the Invictus Games.
