Despite Prince Philip denying he watches The Crown alongside his wife Queen Elizabeth, it turns out Her Royal Highness isn’t the only member of the royal family who can’t get enough of the Netflix series.
According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, lovebirds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also binge the show, choosing to spend date nights at home on the couch together, rather than heading out to flashy restaurants.
Royals, they’re just like us.
In her new book, Harry: Life, Loss, and Love, Nicholl says: “An accomplished cook, Meghan loved to make extravagant dinners for Harry, and they enjoyed staying in and eating her delicious homemade meals and watching films and TV shows like The Crown on Netflix.”
In the excerpt, published by the New York Post, Nicholl goes on to say that Meghan felt right at home at Nottingham Cottage and has already transformed the former bachelor pad in her short time living there.
“She was so at home at Nottingham Cottage that she had a wardrobe of clothes in Harry’s closet and had flown several more suitcases of belongings over. She referred to Kensington Palace as ‘home,’ and there were reports in the press that she had unofficially moved in with Harry,” Nicholl wrote.
“She had certainly transformed Nottingham Cottage, tastefully adding some feminine touches to the bachelor décor, including fresh flowers, organic cookbooks and her favourite Le Labo Santal 26 scented candles,” she continued.
