They’re due to announce their engagement any day now, but fans eagerly awaiting another royal wedding could be in for disappointment: apparently Prince Harry wants to keep his big day “private.”
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding was broadcast worldwide, Prince Harry would prefer a quieter affair – and as the fifth in line to the throne, it’s likely he’ll get his wish.
“Pomp and pageantry is the last thing he would want,” US Weekly reports, with their source adding, “I can see him wanting to get married at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. It would stop it from turning into a total media circus and give the day a sense of privacy that Harry so badly craves.”
We totally get it: we wouldn’t want the prying eyes of the paparazzi spoiling our wedding day either. But at the same time… We. Want. To. See. All. The. Photos. Especially of Meghan Markle’s dress.
Although Kensington Palace didn’t officially confirm Prince Harry and Markle’s relationship until November 2016, the couple have been together since July. They made their first public appearance together at the Invictus Games last month.
