Just when we thought today was going to be like any other ordinary Thursday, the youngest member of the Cambridge family, Prince Louis, is here to lift our spirits, with five new adorable photos of the son of Prince William and Kate Middleton being released ahead of his second birthday.

The sweet snaps, taken by the duchess earlier this month at the family’s country home, Anmer Hall in Norfolk, have been released to mark the special occasion, and show Louis enjoying experimenting with finger painting – including a photo of the finished product!
Princess Kate who has a keen eye for photography, has made it a tradition to take the official photos that mark the birthdays of her children each year. Last year, the duchess shared a heart-melting photo of a 1-year-old Prince Louis sitting amongst the garden, revealing his first teeth.
Prince Louis’ rainbow creation is part of a nationwide initiative, with millions of children across the United Kingdom putting their artistic skills to use in support of National Health Service (NHS) workers and other essential workers tackling the coronavirus pandemic across the country.
In an interview with BBC, Kate admitted that she’s had to find a way of explaining the lockdown to her children, revealing, “It’s been ups and downs, like a lot of families self-isolating. George is much older than Louis is and things, but they are aware, I’m always surprised,” Kate said.
“And although you don’t want to scare them and make it too overwhelming, I think it is appropriate to acknowledge it in the simple ways and age-appropriate ways.”
The family have been trying to keep the children’s routine as familiar as possible, by remaining in touch with their relatives via video chat. However, both Kate and Will shared that Louis isn’t making the task easy.
"It gets a bit hectic, I’m not going to lie, with the two-year-old," Kate said in the same interview.
William agreed. "For some reason he sees the red button, and always wants to press the red button," the Prince admitted.
