New reports suggest that both Prince Harry and William are actively working to mend their relationship.
As per British publication The Mirror, the brothers are communicating weekly ahead of the ceremony including FaceTiming each other with their children.
The publication claims that Meghan and Kate haven’t been present during those calls, rather leaving it to their respective husbands to diffuse the situation themselves. An anonymous source has revealed to the outlet that it was actually Prince William who had made the first move.
“The brothers needed time for everything to settle down. The family, including William, had been disappointed in the way Harry and Meghan chose to leave the royal family,” claimed the source before adding “the Queen wanted the Jubilee to be a fresh start for the brothers”.
While the celebration is set to recognise and honour the Queen’s seven decades of service, it will also be a weekend of many firsts, including the first time the ruler will meet her great-granddaughter Lilibet.
It’s also said that the celebration will mark the first time Kate and Meghan will reunite since the 2020 Commonwealth Day Service, which occurred a month after Meghan and Harry announced they were stepping back as senior members of the royal family.
Until then, the world will be waiting with baited breath to see if the reunion between the Sussexs and the Cambridges will go as smoothly as the Queen hopes.
