To celebrate their engagement, Princess Beatrice and fiancé Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi gathered their circle of celebrity friends for a glamorous soirée in London on Wednesday evening (December 18).

The starry event took place in A-list haunt Chiltern Firehouse because where else does one throw a bash when you’re a member of the royal family?
Showcasing her plethora of famous friends, Princess Beatrice wrote British musician Ellie Goulding’s name on the exclusive guest list alongside new husband Caspar Jopling.
Fellow singer and close pal James Blunt was also in attendance with his wife Sofia Wellesley. Rumour has it, even Robert De Niro also dropped by to celebrate.
Of course, invitations were also dished out to other members of the royal clan with the Duchess of Cambridge’s sister Pippa Middleton making an appearance with husband James Matthews.
The third member of the Middleton sibling trio, James, also turned up with new fiancée Alizee Thevenet.
Interestingly, the bride-to-be’s mother, Sarah Ferguson, was photographed arriving at the bash, but Prince Andrew decided against attending.
According to multiple reports, the father-of-two originally planned to join in on the occasion but “he thought it might be a bad look” given the circumstances.
Last month, the Duke of York stepped down from his royal duties following a now-famous interview with BBC journalist, Emily Maitlis, on his controversial relationship with convicted child sex offender, Jeffrey Epstein.
“It has become clear to me over the past few days that my association with Jeffrey Epstein has become a major disruption to my family’s work and the valuable work going on in the many organizations and charities that I am proud to support,” Prince Andrew said in a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
“Therefore, I have asked Her Majesty if I can step back from public duties for the foreseeable future, and she has given her permission.”
I continue to unequivocally regret my ill-judged association with Jeffrey Epstein,” he continued. “His suicide has left many unanswered questions, particularly for his victims, and I deeply sympathise with everyone who has been affected and wants some form of closure. I can only hope that, in time, they will be able to rebuild their lives.”
Princess Beatrice is set to grace the aisle in 2020 but Prince Andrew’s role in the ceremony has yet to be confirmed.
