According to TMZ, Malti Marie was born just after 8PM on January 15 at a hospital in San Diego.
That would make Malti Marie a Capricorn sun, Cancer moon and Virgo rising. Interestingly, both her moon and rising matches that of Priyanka and Nick respectively.
Malti translates to "small fragrant flower or moonlight" (which may be a nod to her evening birthtime) in Sanskrit, but it's also a nod to Priyanka's mother who goes by the name Madhu Malti. Marie is also the middle name of Nick's mother Denise. It's safe to say the Chopra-Jones' are keeping it in the family.
In late February, Priyanka posted a series of snaps to her Instagram, one of which was a picture of Malti Marie's nursery, complete with several cute stuffed animals.
On January 22, Chopra and Jonas shared a joint update to announce the birth of their baby girl via surrogate.
"We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate," they wrote at the time.
"We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much."
Undoubtedly spending the last month in their happy new-parents bubble, Chopra's latest update also included several pictures of her enjoying some downtime (and some delicious-looking loaded fries) with Jonas.
A source recently explained how Jonas and Chopra were leaning into the new chapter.
"This is a happy time for all," they told PEOPLE.
"Nick and Priyanka are definitely ready for this new challenge in their lives. It is something they have both wanted. Now is their time, and they could not be more ready to raise a child."
The pair currently live in their mansion in Encino, California, a property that they reportedly picked out specifically to raise their children in.
"When they bought the house together, they had children in mind," the source shares. "They were hoping to have kids and needed a place with a lot of outdoor space and greenery," per PEOPLE.
In an interview with Vanity Fair in January, before fans knew the couple were expecting a baby, Chopra said that kids were, "A big part of our desire for the future."
"By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens."
It looks like they're soaking up every bit of it.
