Per The Sun, it's understood the Queen's medical team acted out of caution in hospitalising her. This marks the Queen's first hospitalisation in five years.
Ever resilient, the Queen is already back at Windsor Castle and reading her Government Red Boxes while she recuperates.
Earlier this week, it was revealed the Queen was asked to make a small tweak to her beloved four-cocktails-a-day ritual.
Per Vanity Fair, the royal's medical team advised Her Majesty to bid adieu to her evening martini as she edges closer to turning 100.
"The Queen has been told to give up her evening drink which is usually a martini," a source claimed to the publication.
"It’s not really a big deal for her, she is not a big drinker but it seems a trifle unfair that at this stage in her life she’s having to give up one of very few pleasures."
We can't argue with that—though we do wish the best of health to the Queen. Fingers crossed she has a speedy and full recovery.
