Queen Elizabeth Gives Prince Philip The Anniversary Gift Only A Queen Can Give

Yeah... this is not relatable.

Should you and your partner be blessed enough to make it to your 70th Wedding Anniversary, Queen Elizabeth has you covered on ripper gift ideas.

The monarch recently celebrated the marriage milestone with her husband Prince Philip, making them the first royals in history to reach the impressive anniversary.

The Queen took the romantic occasion as an opportunity to appoint her husband the Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order. This specific act recognises the recipient for distinguished personal service to her majesty.

Yeah, she gave her husband a knighthood as a casual gift. Talk about a winning present idea!

“Her Majesty has appointed His Royal Highness The Duke of Edinburgh to be a Knight Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order (GCVO),” the Royal Family’s official Twitter page shared on Monday. “Awards in the Royal Victorian Order are made personally by The Queen, for services to the Sovereign.”

Congratulations to Lizzie and Philip on their impressive milestone! We know what gifts we will be asking for on our next anniversary *ahem* knighthood.
