Aside from her undeniable chicness, Letizia is, without a doubt, major fitspiration. The former television journalist employs plenty of different kinds of workouts to maintain her trim figure, as well as a diet free of unnecessary nasties.

What Is Queen Letizia’s Diet? 

Like many famous women, Queen Letizia is said to abide by a sustainable meal plan, staying away from ‘crash diets’ that are geared towards short-term weight loss.

According to POPSUGAR, Letizia swears by the ‘Perricone Diet’, which involves only anti-inflammatory foods that encourage inner health and wellness. This can include, and isn’t limited to, salmon, fresh fruits and vegetables, and healthy oils (she is Spanish, after all).

The Perricone Diet prides itself on its anti-inflammatory abilities, with its official website reading: “Without a doubt, excessive dietary sugar, especially from sugary drinks, has been linked to chronic inflammation, and not surprisingly, an increase in Type 2 diabetes.

“Conversely, people who reduce their sugar intake have lower inflammatory markers in their blood. In addition to sugar, other dietary culprits are thought to play a role in inflammation including saturated and trans fats, refined carbohydrates, and alcohol.”

With its antioxidant-rich food suggestions, the Perricone Diet is similar to the ‘Sirtfood Diet‘, but with more potential for longevity and less of a focus on quickly shedding weight.

POPSUGAR also reports that Letizia steers clear of unnecessary sugar, and consumes three litres of water a day without fail.

What Is Queen Letizia’s Exercise Routine?

Over the years, many have speculated what Letizia does to work out. The answer involves a variation of different activities, which all contribute to her visibly fit physique.

Like many regular people, the Queen is said to be a fan of Zumba. As one of the world’s most famous dance methods, Zumba originated in Colombia, and is popular around the world for its focus on regimented cardio and fitness through dancing.

Letizia’s younger sister, Telma Ortiz Rocasolano, revealed in an interview with Spain’s Vida y Estilo that her sister also enjoys yoga, namely, ‘Iyengar yoga’—a form that emphasises finding “expression” in your pose, instead of speedily checking off stances in each session.
