Meet The Impressive Headliners Performing At The Queen’s Platinum Party At The Palace

What a way to ring in a seven decade rule.

The Queen is in for a right royal ripper, by anyone’s standards. In celebration of her 70th year as Britain’s reigning Monarch, a giant palace bash will be hosted by the royal family, one that will see major artists from across the world perform in a spectacular fashion before Buckingham Palace.

The Platinum Party At The Palace will see some 10,000 lucky ballot winners party the night away with live music, dance groups, and famed television and sporting icons who’ll take to the stage on the evening of Saturday, June 4—the third of four jam-packed days of events.

Lucky for Australians (and the hundreds of thousands across the world who’ll be tuning in), the performances will be broadcast on television. Below, everything you need to know about the event—and the key headliners to look out for.

What will happen at the Platinum Party at the Palace ?

Hosted at—you guessed it—Buckingham Palace, the evening will involve three large stages with a 3D projection playing across the palace grounds. Scottish television presenter Kirsty Young and British radio personality Roman Kemp will host the evening, which will feature performances from musical artists, dance groups and presentations from well-known sporting and TV talents.

Who will headline?

Queen + Adam Lambert are set to open the spectacle, followed by the likes of Alicia Keys, Hans Zimmer, Ella Eyre, Craig David, Mabel, Elbow and George Ezra. Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda is also set to give a special performance. Per marie claire UK, Diana Ross will also headline the event.

In terms of dance groups, Britain’s Got Talent‘s Diversity, who won the 2009 competition, will share a special routine alongside a recital from the Royal Ballet.

Film and television icons Sir David Attenborough, Dame Julie Andrews and Stephen Fry will also hit the stage alongside sporting icons David Beckham, tennis ace Emma Raducanu and Paralympian swimmer Ellie Simmonds.
