QLD Toddler Who Drowned In Water Tank Remembered As A ‘Little Angel’

"My heart aches for you and all your family"

Tributes are pouring in for 2-year-old Willow Walker who tragically drowned in a water tank on a rural property in Queensland.

According to The Courier Mail, the little girl fell into a tank at Camden Park Station in Longreach.

Paramedics and police rushed to the property owned by parents Daniel and Brooke Walker after 6pm on Monday. Willow was taken to Longreach Base Hospital, but sadly did not survive the horror ordeal.

On Facebook, Willow was remembered as an “angel” taken too soon.

“Forever Willow Walker is Longreach’s little angel,” Jessica Leggett wrote, the Brisbane Times reports.

“Let’s all fill our Facebook with this photo so this gorgeous family knows her little life touched us all.

“Hold your kids a little longer and tuck them in a little tighter, we are so lucky to have them with us and sometimes we lose site (sic) of that.”

“My heart aches for you and all your family,” Shara Helmstedt posted on Facebook. “Miss Willow will be missed by all who were ever lucky to be blessed by her cheeky smile.”

Kat Scott also posted: “I was only looking at those beautiful photos of her at the bakery eating a cupcake and thought what a gorgeous little girl Willow is. My heart and thoughts are with you all right now.”

According to local media reports, the Walker family are well known and loved in Longreach.
