Actress Rachel McAdams gave birth to a baby boy in April this year, and since welcoming her son the Mean Girls star has been tight-lipped in regards to any and all information about her bundle of joy - until now.
It was back in February when rumours started circulating that the 40-year-old was pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Jamie Linden, and it wasn't until pictures surfaced of the couple holding an infant back in April that the pregnancy rumours were confirmed.
Understandably, the famous star wants to keep her son's life private and speaking for the first time with The Sunday Times, The Notebook actress opened up about her life as a mother and why amidst the constant paparazzi and public scrutiny she sought her son's privacy.
McAdams told the publication, "It’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me, hands down. [People say] your life is not your own anymore, but I had 39 years of me, I was sick of me, I was so happy to put the focus on some other person."
The actress then touched on why she wanted to keep her baby boy out of the limelight, "I want to keep [my son's] life private, even if mine isn’t. But I’m having more fun being a mum than I’ve ever had. Everything about it is interesting and exciting and inspiring to me."
It sounds like motherhood is treating Rachel very well!
