Reese Witherspoon Shares the Clean Skincare Changing Her Skin (and The Industry) For the Better

When you spend as much time on-set and in camera-ready makeup as Reese Witherspoon, a dependable and hard-working skincare routine is a must. Taking to her Instagram, Reese Witherspoon announced her five year partnership as Global Brand Ambassador with the California beauty biotech company Biossance, sharing her love of their science and results-driven formulas and clean and sustainable values.

“I have always been conscious of what’s being put on my skin, but after all the time I’ve spent on-sets throughout my career, I’ve learned so much.  As my knowledge has grown so has my desire to use clean and consciously created products,” Witherspoon shares.

“I not only fell in love with Biossance’s products, especially their Rose Oil, but also their innovative, female-led team and their mission towards a sustainable future,” she adds.

Joining their self-care ambassador, Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness as a convert of the brand, Reese Witherspoon says “my skin has never felt healthier and I’m proud to work with such a strong industry leader in sustainability and care for our planet.”

While Witherspoon is set to curate limited-edition edits of favourite products, scroll below to shop some of Reese’s (and the marie claire team’s) Biossance picks.

Biossane Squalane Vitamin C Rose Oil

BIOSSANCE Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil, $110; sephora.com.au

This pretty pink bottle delivers firm and bright skin with its damascus rose petal extract and gentle vitamin C, suspended in squalane for lightweight hydration.

Biossance Squalane + Omega Repair Cream

BIOSSANCE Squalane + Omega Repair Cream, $89; sephora.com.au

Also counting Jonathan Van Ness as a fan, this reparative squalane and omega fatty acid cream sinks into skin to plump and soothe dry, dehydrated and sensitive skin.

Biossance 100% Squalane Oil

BIOSSANCE 100% Squalane Oil, $49; sephora.com.au

Just straight-up squalane, the brand’s signature sugarcane-derived hydrator multitasks to nourish skin, hair and nails by mimicking naturally-occurring squalene as it depletes with age.
