As if being an Academy Award-winning actress, mother-of-three, running her own production company and lifestyle brand Draper James isn’t enough, Reese Witherspoon has just announced that she will be writing a book, having signed a deal with Touchstone.
“I’m thrilled to be writing my first book with Touchstone,” Reese said in a statement published by Entertainment Weekly.
The book is describes as a “southern lifestyle book” and we can expect “personal essays about the people and places that influenced her.”
“It’s a unique opportunity for me to share funny anecdotes about my Southern upbringing and give people a glimpse into my idea of Southern living,” she added.
The announcement comes shortly after Reese opened her second brick-and-mortar Draper James store in Dallas.
The lifestyle and clothing brand (which you can check out here) stocks the latest Southern trends, including clothes, accessories and home accents, many of which are adorned with quirky slogans such as “hello, sugar”, “game day” and “cool it y’all”.
If her bubbly personality and enviable Instagram game are anything to go by, Reese’s debut book should be a fun, uplifting read for y’all.
