A New Rooftop Rosé Bar Is Coming To Sydney, Just In Time For Summer

It even has a special gin room...

Sweeping views of the city, lush greenery and killer cocktails are just some of the delightful elements Sydneysiders are promised when the new rooftop bar, The Fernery Mosman, opens in December.

If ever there was a bar there to do it for the ‘gram, it seems like it will be this one.

The brainchild of John Tully and Luke Heard – the duo behind The Greens North Sydney and acre Eatery in Camperdown – is set to be a must-visit location in Summer 17/18.

The venue has a garden terrace and guarantees an exciting alfresco dining experience. Head Chefs Gavin Gray and Mitchell Davis have created a modern Australian menu that is designed to share and will be cooked in an outdoor kitchen garden that also features a wood-burning grill.

The Fernery will house a dedicated rosé bar with a selection of seasonal wines on rotation and a diverse cocktail menu. Meanwhile, there will be a separate space for gin-lovers, with a sleek gin room featuring locally crafted Australian distillers.

“We’ve designed The Fernery as a place for guests to catch up for a casual cocktail or to enjoy a long lunch,” creators Tully and Heard claim. “It’s a space that is as visually striking as it is welcoming.”

The bars’ Instagram feed hints at spiral stairwells and overgrown forestry, and we’re sensing it will be the perfect atmosphere for your next romantic date night or catch up with the girls. While we don’t yet have insight to the look of the new space, here are some of the images they’ve shared on the ‘gram that they claim have inspired the space…

The Fernery will open on December 1st at 719 Military RoadMosman.
