Roxy Jacenko has had a difficult year – her husband Oliver Curtis made headlines when he was jailed for insider trading, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, and she has been raising her two kids Pixie and Hunter on her own.
The PR queen recently got candid on The Today Show about how she has been coping with it all. She also shared her thoughts on the recent ‘sharenting’ debate about whether parents with a public profile should be sharing so many pictures of their children on social media.
Jacenko said that while she had a lot more challenges this year than she expected to face, she can’t help but feel lucky in life.

“The reality of it all is that everyone has challenges,” Jacenko said. “My challenges were compounded very quickly in the period of four months.
“It’s a year that I suppose I never ever thought I’d face. But at the same time, I’ve got two amazing children, I’ve got a business that’s amazing, I’ve got great staff, and I think I’m very lucky.
“Yes it’s been tough, but at the same time I’ve very lucky. I think the positives outweigh the negatives.”
When asked how her husband was coping with jail, she said that he is doing as well as he can given the circumstances.

“He is good as good as you can be in that environment, we are proud of him.
“He’s taken it on the chin and getting on with it.”
Sonia Kruger asked her what she thought about ‘sharenting’, a particularly topical subject after Zoe Foster Blake was accused of sharing too many photos of her son Sonny. Of course, Roxy Jacenko is known for sharing photos of her children, as she started an Instagram account for daughter Pixie that has over 100,000 followers.
Jacenko specified that it was important to be picky about what you’re sharing, but she didn’t see a problem with it in general.
“There’s nothing wrong with sharing pictures of your children, you do it because you’re proud.
“I think you have to be careful about what we share. I would never share a picture of the children in the bath, or anything like that.”
