Kensington Palace Denies Rumours Of A Feud Between Prince Charles And His Sons

Royally ruffled feathers

The relationship between the first-in-line to the throne, Prince Charles, and his two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, has always held a fascination for the public. Are they close? How close? Did they watch Suits together prior to meeting Prince Harry’s now wife Meghan Markle?

No one really knows the answers to these questions except the three people in question. But that doesn’t stop the endless speculation, which intensified when Prince Harry and Prince William’s beloved mum, and Prince Charle’s ex-wife, Princess Diana tragically died in a car crash in August 1997.

However, recently that speculation went to the next level with a British tabloid, The Daily Beast, running an in-depth feature over the weekend titled ‘Inside the Cold War Between Prince Charles and William and Harry.’ The feature quoted anonymous sources saying, “They [Prince Charles, Prince Harry and Prince William] are very different people and they just don’t get on. It’s as simple as that. They rarely see each other outside of official business.”

Usually when the press or the public speculates about the royal family, the Palace keeps quiet with no engagement and no response. But not this time. In an unprecedented step the Express reports, “Clarence House has issued a furious denial to claims Prince Charles does not get on with his sons, Prince William and Harry.”

Per the Express, when asked if they claims in the article were true, Clarence House told them the claims were “complete fiction”.

Which makes sense, the boys and their father look to have a very strong bond if past behaviour is anything to go on. As recently as Prince Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle in May, Markle had Prince Charles walk her partway down the aisle, a sure sign of a tight-knit family.
