Ryan Reynolds Has Gifted Fans With A Throwback ‘Just Friends’ TikTok Reenactment Video

It was only a matter of time before he joined the platform.

Just in case the actor’s Instagram presence wasn’t providing enough amusing fodder, Ryan Reynolds has now joined TikTok. Though if we’re being perfectly honest, we’re now wondering why it took Reynoldswho has considerable comedic talentso long!

Reynolds, who is known both for his catalogue of romantic comedies and his role as the smart-mouthed comic book character in the eponymous Deadpool, shared his first TikTok to the platform overnight. His debut video leant on the popular TikTok video genre of lip-syncing and recreated a scene from his 2005 romantic comedy film, Just Friends.

Under his username @vancityreynolds, the actor posted a TikTok video that saw him lip-syncing to “I Swear” by the RnB group All-4-One. For those who missed it, find the original scene of Reynold’s Just Friends character Chris Brander singing to himself in the mirror below.

As is Reynold’s sarcastic nature, he captioned his debut TikTok with, “I swear you will be disappointed by this account.”

Somehow, we don’t think his fans will be though. Among the other TikToks Reynolds has posted so far are a short clip that sees his character Deadpool don a Wrexham AFC jersey—a sports team Reynolds funds—and a duet with the co-owner of the football club, Rob McElhenney.

Per his not-so-subtle Wrexham AFC nods and reports from Adweek, Reynolds has joined the platform for business purposes as well as the pleasure of his fans. The social media platform is apparently sponsoring the team, which Reynolds and McElhenney recently bought together.

Either way, we’re sure fans will enjoy the updates. Perhaps there’ll be some Blake Lively cameos in future?
