Losing a job can be tough enough, but Sam Frost found out she had been fired from her radio gig at 2DayFM in one of the most brutal ways we can imagine.
Frost told Nova 100’s Chrissie, Sam and Browny that she stumbled across the announcement while reading a news story.
“I found out my show was axed via News.com.au,” she recounted on Thursday morning.
“[Before that] I was like, ‘It’s just some rumours,’ then saw it was a statement from my boss.
“[I was like] ‘bugger, looks like I can’t afford my mortgage, bloody hell.'”
The former Bachelorette added: “It’s a bit ruthless.”
The 28-year-old’s breakfast radio show with Rove McManus lasted just six months. In July, Frost made the exciting announcement that she had swapped the airwaves for the silver screen by joining the cast of Home and Away.
The Hit Network is yet to respond to news.com.au’s requests for comment.
