Sandra Bullock’s Daughter Laila Makes Rare Appearance While Surprising Coronavirus Nurse

The sweetest surprise!

Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk has brought us many emotional moments – from daughter Willow telling her mum for the first time that she was depressed to Jordyn Woods’ post-Tristan Thompson cheating scandal interview. Perhaps none have been so emotional as the latest instalment, featuring Sandra Bullock and daughter Laila.

For the newly released Mother’s Day episode of the Facebook Watch Series, April Buencamino, a mother of two and nurse manager working on the COVID-19 frontline, is the focus. Buencamino joined Smith, her mum, Adrienne Banfield Norris, and daughter, Willow, on the show by video call and they shared her story.

Bullock made a special appearance, donating 6,000 N95 masks to the hospital Buencamino works at. Surprising everyone, Bullock’s daughter Laila even popped into the video.

In 2015, the actress revealed she had adopted the then 3-year-old girl from Louisiana. Bullock has two children but keeps their lives incredibly private.

The actress said, “April, thank you for – I’m gonna try and say this without crying – thank you for everything that you’re doing because we get to sit here and be home with our families because you are out there doing the hard, hard, hard work.”

“There’s not a dinner and a grace [that] can go by without us sending you the love and the appreciation and the gratitude that we as a family have because we are safe and I thank you so much,” she added. “And, you as a mum, I know you’re scared, I know you’re scared on so many levels and the fact that you were born with that extra gift to go out and do the good work, I bow down to you.”

“To your family, I say thank you for allowing you to leave the home…We’re just so very grateful for you and everyone that does what you do.”

To top it all off, Pinkett Smith surprised Buencamino with a $50,000 donation to the hospital she works, and a family vacation (when this all ends, of course).
