Although Sex And The City 3 has been surrounded by more drama than Carrie Bradshaw’s entire dating life, the franchise’s star might have found a way to actually make the third movie happen.
While appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Sarah Jessica Parker addressed who could play Samantha now that Kim Cattrall has bowed out of the film
“There’s a period of grief, a mourning process, and then perhaps we’ll be able to consider, say for instance, you playing Samantha,” SJP joked to Ellen.
“[She’s] so me,” DeGeneres quipped. “That’s who I identify with on that show.”
The talk show host added: “That is me. I am a sexual beast. I talk about it a lot. I do it a lot. This is a façade. When you meet me as a real person out in the world, this is my talk show persona.”
All joking aside, Jessica Parker explained that the third film is still up in the air.
“I don’t know. Last week, I said ‘No.’ Reality is a brutal companion,” the 52-year-old said. “I feel like maybe, I don’t know. I have to make up an answer, because I have absolutely no idea. You know, who knows. Perhaps, we’ll find a way. Right now, I don’t know.”
In the meantime, we’ll just have to make do with endless re-runs of the Sex And The City series instead.
