In a series of portraits from the event, posted by one of Gomez's friends Connar Franklin, the Wizards of Waverly Place star visibly swapped out her pastel-hued number for an ivory feather-trimmed sequin wedding dress from 16Arlington's bridal collection.
The reason behind her choice to wear a wedding dress will remain unknown, but fans have been divided as to whether she donned the dress for aesthetic purposes or to send a message about what she wants for herself in her 30th year around the sun.
Gomez has been repeatedly vocal about her relationship status, notably taking to TikTok in May 2022 to poke fun at being single. On the social media platform, she shared a video of herself sitting alone, next to two couples taking part in some PDA.

Realising what her grandma just said on camera to her 42.3 million fans, Gomez responds "Ah, I'll tell you in a second" and laughed to herself.
And even when she hosted Saturday Night Live in May of this year, she delivered some anecdotes about her hunt for love.
"One reason I’m really excited to host SNL is because I’m single—and I’ve heard SNL is a great place to find romance,” she said, seemingly referring to either Ariana Grande or Kim Kardashian's SNL-induced romances with Pete Davidson.
“Since I don’t really want to try the dating apps, I just want to put it in the universe that I’m manifesting love. But at this point, I would take anyone.”
The "Lose You To Love Me" singer hasn't been officially linked to anyone since she split from on-again, off-again boyfriend Justin Bieber in 2018—and he has since married Hailey Bieber.
