Despite being relatively absent from her own social media – apart from quietly deleting the last photo of her ex Justin Bieber a couple of weeks ago – Selena Gomez is in a good place. Literally. The singer is currently at a bachelorette party in Mexico to celebrate her cousin, Priscilla DeLeon’s, upcoming wedding to fiancé Jay Cosme, at which the singer will serve as maid of honour.
After photos of the group relaxing on a boat surfaced last week, Selena’s friend and former assistant, Theresa Marie Mingus, shared a photo of the three lounging poolside in a cabana, writing, “My fam is getting married 😭.” In the photo, Selena is wearing a bright red one-piece by Theresa’s swimwear label, Krahs.
The celebration is taking place in Puerto Vallarta, where the group has been four-wheeling, sunbathing on yachts and hanging out poolside.
Priscilla got engaged in March 2016, something 26-year-old Selena had clearly been waiting for. She posted a photo that evening, cuddling her cousin and writing, “We have waited our whole lives for this #whyamIactinglikeigotaring.”
The next June, Priscilla revealed that she had asked Selena to be her Maid of Honor, which she happily agreed to. The bride-to-be then posted a video holding up a ‘I say yes to the dress’ sign and revealing that Selena had surprised her by buying her her dream wedding dress.
After wearing the most stunning LBD to her best friend’s wedding, then a bright red dress to another of her friend’s bridal showers, before blowing us away with a sparkly blue gown for her bodyguard’s wedding, it’s safe to say we can’t wait to see what Selena is dressed in for this special occasion. #MaidOfHonourGoals.
