If there’s one show that has been a beacon of sky light-drenched hope in the middle of these – wait for it – unprecedented times, it’s Netflix’s Selling Sunset.
Alright, perhaps ‘hope’ isn’t quite the right word. Nonetheless, between the glorious Hollywood houses we’d sacrifice our firstborns for (ok, an exaggeration… but only just) and the turn-your-brain-off drama between the cast members, it’s the perfect blend of Real Housewives and real estate that we all deserve in this chaotic year.
That said, we’d be lying if we said that one of the thoughts we had while inhaling all 24 episodes wasn’t: “Damn, those commissions… how soon can we join The Oppenheim Group!?”.
Because while the cast may be spruiking multi-million dollar mansions to ridiculously wealthy clients, they aren’t exactly doing so bad themselves!
Thus, in the interest of staying entertained during quarantine — we’ve already watched several shows like Selling Sunset in an attempt to fill the void — we thought we’d do another little deep dive to uncover which cast member is raking in the most money.

How much does the Selling Sunset cast earn?
As we’ve seen on the show, expensive houses mean hefty commissions in the five and six-figures, but the way it’s edited makes it seem like they are selling homes constantly, when in reality, it can be many months before a house is sold. On top of that, they do not have a base salary, as Mary Fitzgerald told Express.co.uk.
“I think the hardest thing in real estate is working for commission only,” she said.
“Spending months sometimes with a client, and then they change their minds. The best part can also be when a client finds something they love immediately and I make a huge commission with very little effort.
“This unfortunately is not normally the case, but I have double-ended deals represented the buyer as well on my own listing, so this is the best scenario for an agent.”
That said, many of the cast members have side hustles and previous careers across modelling, acting and other areas in entertainment (it is L.A., after all), and may be earning money from their social media channels.

Romain’s exact net worth is unknown, but several sources quote it as being between USD $1 and $5 million. In addition to being a model, the 26-year-old France native has previously worked as a pastry chef. Nowadays, he also works for The Oppenheim Group alongside his wife Mary, as a project manager for construction on a number of their listings.
Mary Fitzgerald
Age: 40
Estimated Net Worth: $1 million (AUD $1.37 million)
According to The Cinemaholic, Mary is worth an estimated USD $1 million. In the real estate game since 2008, she was one of the first employees at The Oppenheim Group when she joined Brett and Jason in 2014. Prior to that, she worked with prestigious London property developers Candy & Candy, where she was involved in a real estate project at One Hide Park.
Maya Vander
Age: 37
Estimated Net Worth: $1 million (AUD $1.37 million)
Before moving to LA and entering the real estate world in 2011, the Israeli native lived in Spain, Netherlands and Singapore. She joined The Oppenheim Group in 2015. As was shown in seasons two and three, in recent years Maya has been dividing her time between LA and Miami, where she also has realtor license.
Amanza Smith
Age: 43
Estimated Net Worth: $1 million (AUD $1.37 million)
The most recent addition to the Selling Sunset case, Amanza has previously held roles as an interior designer, model and cheerleader. Along with being a realtor associate with The Oppenheim Group, she is the business’ in-house interior designer expert (and late to everything).
Christine Quinn

One of the best reality TV ‘villains’ to grace our screens in a long time, Christine may have the biggest personality in the series, but she’s not the highest-earning cast member. Per several sources, she is reportedly worth an estimated $2 million, although some older figures pre-2020 value her worth at $500,000. Before joining The Oppenheim Group, the 31-year-old had a career in fashion and entertainment, previously appearing in a number of movies.
Davina Potratz
Age: 30

Interestingly, Selling Sunset isn’t the first property-related reality TV show Davina has been on. Previously starring on Bravo’s Million Dollar Listing and working in modelling, Davina is now the broker and director of the New Development Division at The Oppenheim Group. During seasons two and three, she worked on selling the agency’s most expensive listing, a USD $75 million ‘compound’, but has yet to find a buyer.
Heather Young

A former Playboy Playmate, model, Pilates teacher and actress, Heather got her real estate licence at the age of 27 and quickly sold a $1.5 million condo and a $7.2 million house, before joining The Oppenheim Group in 2014. Chrishell Stause

Besides her job with The Oppenheim Group, Chrishell is a successful soap actress, appearing in recurring roles on Days of Our Lives (as recently as 2020), The Young and The Restless and more. While she may be estimated to have a net worth in the millions today, she’s spoken before about growing up in poverty, sleeping in her car, and at times, not even having running water. Previously married to This Is Us star Justin Hartley, who filed for divorce in November 2019 and notified her via text message, Chrishell’s personal life was featured prominently on Selling Sunset season three.
Jason and Brett Oppenheim

Before making it big in the world of LA real estate, Jason and Brett Oppenheim were actually both attorneys. After earning a name for themselves as lawyers, they both left their jobs to become the fifth generation of the Oppenheim family to go into the real estate business. Recent reports state that Brett has left The O Group to start his own business, with the company’s website now listing Jason as the sole broker and president.
