It looks like The Oppenheim Group is getting ready to expand, and not just down the Hollywood strip. In fact, one half of our favourite luxury real estate duo, Jason and Brett Oppenheim, are making our ’00s dreams come true as they set sail south toward Orange County.
According to Variety, the spin-off series from Selling Sunset will be aptly titled Selling The OC, and will follow Jason as he plans to extend his and his brother’s legacy down the Californian coastline.
Apart from Jason, fans of the original series have been warned that they won’t recognise the rest of the cast, with the one twin being the only crossover cast member from Selling Sunset. However, joining Jason will be Newport Beach agents Alexandra Hall, Austin Victoria and Brandi Marshall, among many others.
Filming this fall, fans of the series who dislike change don’t need to panic. Adam DiVello, who was the brains behind the original series—as well as The Hills and Laguna Beach—is at the helm of the spinoff and will be joined by producers Done and Done Productions and Lionsgate.
But what will the luxurious new offices look like? Lucky for us, The Oppenheim Group‘s fabulous and brand new Orange County HQ was already featured on Architectural Digest back in October.
Vastly different from their Los Angeles office, the Orange County branch is actually a former bank that spans over an entire block. Featuring a secret vault, Jason explained to AD how he fell in love with the property when he was searching for a new space.
“I looked inside that building and was like, I don’t really care how much it costs to rent this or how much it costs to build out. This is a dream spot. I will never again be able to find a spot like this,” he told the publication.
His new space also includes pink velvet couches, an on-site gym with an in-built steam shower, and an orange pool table, among many other luxury offerings.
The announcement of Selling The OC arrived only two weeks prior to the release of Selling Sunset‘s long-awaited fourth season. Those who are still committed to the original series can expect its return to our screens on November 24, after more than a year since season three premiered.
And thankfully, the drama-filled lives of the West Coast’s most prestigious real estate agents is going nowhere any time soon, with Selling Sunset already confirmed for a further two seasons, in addition to Selling The OC.
As for the latter, we only have one request—there better be a Ryan Atwood and Seth Cohen cameo. That’s not too much to ask for, right?
