Serena Williams Makes An Emotional Breastfeeding Confession

She turned to Twitter for some advice

Many new mums can now look to the social media hive mind for advice on everything from baby names to post-natal depression.

Tennis superstar Serena Williams has done the same, asking her Twitter followers for some feedback about breastfeeding.

“Fellow moms: How long did you breastfeed?” Williams wrote, along with an adorable photo of herself with daughter Alexis Olympia.

“Is it weird that I get emotional when I even just think about when it’s time to stop?”

Countless women responded with their own advice and support.

“You’ll know when it’s time to stop. Enjoy! She is beautiful!” one user wrote.

Another chimed in: “I stopped during summer after my daughter was born – she was starting to walk. However. I would never tell you what to do,” along with a hilarious gif of Williams.

The tennis champion and her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, welcomed their little girl in September.

And just months after giving birth, it is likely Williams will return to the tennis court. As Nine News reports, it is expected the athlete will make a trip to Melbourne for the Australian Open in January–and we couldn’t be more excited to see her.
