Kim, who plays Samantha Jones, previously confirmed that she’s done with playing the outspoken PR mogul.
I can’t. My heart isn’t in it anymore.”
“I’ve moved on,” she wrote on Instagram “61 isn’t 53 or 41. I have learned so much from our Sam. She was my hero but I want to rest & not work as much as I have been doing for years. I want a less hectic life. My decision reflects where I am in my life & I can’t change that without being unhappy. I hope you’ll understand. Kim”
While her long-standing feud with producer Sarah Jessica Parker is believed to be what kept Kim from signing on, her decision to pull out ultimately came down to a “bad script.”
According to E! News, “Kim never wanted to really do the movie, to begin with,” a source reveals. “It was a combination of not great money and a bad storyline for Samantha.”
The plot had to have been really bad for Kim to back out, so what exactly was the issue? Apparently, Samantha’s storyline was based around a tryst Miranda Hobb’s teenage son Brady. “Early in the film, Brady gets caught masturbating. He is also caught sending ‘dick picks’ of his erect penis to Samantha,” E! News reports.
We definitely think Samantha deserves better. What’s more? Last week, it was revealed that Mr. Big would have died from a heart attack, leaving the film to center around Carrie Bradshaw.
