Shawn Mendes has addressed Hailey Baldwin’s engagement to Justin Bieber, speaking out for the first time. Shawn and Hailey were romantically linked after they attended the Met Gala together in May 2018.
“I texted Hailey the day of, and I said congrats. That’s what it is. I think everybody wants there to be more — there’s not,” the Stitches singer revealed on The Project.
The Justin-related questioning didn’t end there, when asked to choose his “favorite Justin,” between Bieber and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Mendes picked Trudeau.
“I think I have to say Trudeau, but I love them both,” told Dave Thornton on the show. “Bieber was a massive influence for me growing up.”
