Shay Mitchell has to be one of our ultimate style muses. Everything she puts on looks good, and quite frankly we’d love to have her face. So when she steps out wearing an Australian designer we can’t help but be a little excited.
Currently on tour for You, the Netflix TV show that’s taking over our lives, Mitchell is doing press stop after press stop with her co-star Penn Badgley. But despite our fascination with Mitchell’s character, Peach, the actress’ followers had questions about her outfit.
Opting for a bright pink mini dress during the Phillipines leg of the tour, Mitchell sent ripples through her Instagram followers who all wanted to know who designed the show-stopping dress.
The summer dress, which has long sleeves, a low neck and bow detailing, is designed by Australia’s own Rebecca Vallance and is currently retailing for $629. It was originally on sale for almost half that, but it seems the brand has raised the price after initially selling out and having to restock.
Named the ‘Love Mini Dress’, the piece has gentle contour detailing to hug the body and is made from a soft crepe material. The shoulders feature two bows, which sit atop a slightly ruffled and puffed sleeve. Very Victorian meets spring racing.
The Rebecca Vallance moment marks the second time Mitchell has worn an Australian designer in a month. While attending a CNN Heroes event in New York in December, Mitchell wore a green metallic dress by Camilla and Marc, chosen for her by stylist Monica Rose — the woman behind Chrissy Teigen and Chanel Iman’s covetable wardrobes.
