Just after the long-awaited Pretty Little Liars’ spin-off series, The Perfectionists, was finally given the green light, a new show starring one of your fave PLL actors has been announced. Shay Mitchell (aka Emily Fields of Rosewood) has been cast as the lead in The Heiresses, a new series based on another book by Pretty Little Liars’ Sara Shepard, with showrunner I. Marlene King on board to boot.

Unlike PLL, The Heiresses centres around a pair of diamond heiresses living in New York City, who are on a mission to find out who is trying to kill off their filthy rich family. Cue drama, suspense and fashion, fashion, fashion.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, a pilot order for The Heiresses has been given the go-ahead, with Shay Mitchell locked in for one of the two heiresses. In a truly perfect world, Leighton Meester would be cast as her co-star…

Meanwhile, another Sara Shepard special, The Perfectionists, has also been given a pilot order and will star Pretty Little Liars actresses Sasha Pieterse (AKA Alison DiLaurentis) and Janel Parrish (you know her better as Mona).
