The Fashion & Beauty Buys In The Carts Of marie claire Editors Right Now

If you’ve ever wondered where the marie claire team get their shopping recommendations — it’s from each other.

Our editors are the first to know about a breakout brand or launch, the last to stop talking about a new beauty product they love, and the very best people to steal ideas from.

Each month, we pull back the curtain and share what’s actually sitting in our carts: the things we spotted before anyone else, the most exciting launches that came across our desks and the things we simply couldn’t resist. Consider this your unfair advantage.

I can’t be the only one who decides they need an entirely new wardrobe before ever vacation they depart on, can I? Right now, I’m packing for warmer weather all the while eyeing off this adorable mini dress I know would be perfect for the trip — linen fabrication to draw heat away from the body on humid days, the cutest scalloped hem and the ability to be dressed up or down (pivotal of any item when suitcase space is tight).

If it wasn’t already obvious that I have one thing, and one thing only on my mind right now, this travel bag has also been sitting at the top of my wish-list for too long. A great carry-on-meets-weekender has been on my shopping hitlist for some time, and this chic bowler bag from Vestirsi might be the one to make me commit. I own two bags from the brand which handcraft their pieces in Italy from 100% leather, so I know it’s not only stylish but great quality.

I’m eyeing off a new sweater for the winter season. They come in a range of colours, however I want a chic black sweater which will be a timeless addition to my wardrobe. Made in the UK, each piece is finished by hand and will last for years to come.

I have been looking for an epilator because my friends tell me it’s time to move on from shaving my legs with a razor, it’s not 1997 anymore and those razors just aren’t cutting it (so to speak).

This month, as we head into the colder mornings and even colder nights, I begin to opt for the heavier staple pieces – a good leather jacket – a thick cargo pant – just to add depth to any outfit. I love starting with simpler pieces and building it up with accessories. For me, it’s easier having a rotation of similar outfits and strong pieces that can be intertwined and swapped out.
