Creams and serums can go a long way to get your skin glowing but when you really want to up the radiance factor and make skin improvements, a high tech treatment like Skin Needling may be the way to go.

Because it boosts collagen production and skin rejuvenation, Skin Needling is a great treatment if you want to go a bit further with your skin routine. The rejuvenating capabilities make this next-gen treatment great for tackling tricky skin issues such as dullness, lines and wrinkles, acne scarring and enlarges pores.

With so much going on at work, I felt my skin needed a boost so I booked in for a Skin Needling treatment at Laser Clinics Australia

I agree, the name of this treatment sounds a little daunting but the treatment itself is nowhere near as painful as you might think. In fact, I found it quite relaxing. For me, it felt more like a light scratching across the skin rather than injections. You can opt to have numbing cream applied before the treatment but I choose not to and I still felt very comfortable.

The device my therapist used had tiny, super-fine needles which create “micro wounds” to the skin. These tiny wounds help to kickstart the body’s healing process, meaning collagen production is given a boost and skin is able to rejuvenate itself and appear more radiant.

On the day of my treatment, my Laser Clinics Australia therapist cleansed my skin thoroughly before attaching a new micro-needling head to the high tech motorised device. Every person gets a new tip to ensure everything is kept super hygienic.

Once my skin was clean, she got to work with the device. She worked in sections, starting with my forehead then moving to my cheeks, chin and nose. Once my whole face was done, she applied an antioxidant serum to help calm the skin and let the nutrients get down deep. The whole treatment took about thirty minutes.

My skin afterwards looked slightly pink but nothing too bad. In fact, I attended an event that night! My therapist said that this can vary from person to person but most people are able to return to work the following day without an issue. She told me to go without makeup for a couple of days and apply the antioxidant-spiked serum to help my skin to heal. Or, if you do wish to wear make-up, the Skinstitut mineral make-up range has been specially formulated to be applied post clinical beauty treatments like Skin Needling.

Two or three days later and my skin was so much more radiant. I felt I didn’t have to wear foundation because my skin just seemed to have that inner glow. A week or so later I also felt my complexion had a new clarity and evenness about it. Win-win!

To really reap the benefits, the experts recommend three treatments a couple of weeks apart but even the one treatment had a great effect on my complexion. I will definitely be back to Laser Clinics Australia.
