She shocked the nation when she sent nice guy James Trethewie home on The Bachelorette last night, and now Sophie Monk is under fire from fans who all thought their beloved Jimmy would at least make it to the final three.

After trying to explain her decision in an Instagram post last night, Monk called Kyle and Jackie O on KIIS FM this morning to express how hurt she has been by the tirade of hate against her.
Becoming increasingly emotional, Monk choked up as she said, “I can’t even tell you, I’m so upset.”
“I’m sensitive and I want to keep everyone happy, and I know everyone says James is the perfect guy, but he’s not the perfect guy for me,” she said, adding that she “needed a little crazy” and she and James didn’t have that spark.
“You realise you’ve got to keep an audience happy but you happy as well and I understand what they said, like I know, he came off amazing, but you’ve got to understand also, there’s a lot cut out.”
She added: “It just hurts my feelings. It’s just horrible because I knew it – the chemistry wasn’t there… I just know it wouldn’t work.”
Sophie made the call from Bali, where she is currently laying low with her best friend.
Meanwhile, James took to Instagram after last night’s episode aired to express his heartbreak over two lengthy posts.
“I honestly thought & could see myself standing there with you at the end, it was a shock for me to leave tonight…” he wrote. “I know the feelings & chemistry were real 🔥 and watching it back on TV just re-confirms this for me… it didn’t work out with us, and that’s completely okay, if it were meant to be it would have been.”
