While we’d most definitely lose our cool if we ran into Game of Thrones‘ Sophie Turner, the actress had a major fan girl moment of her own at the MTV VMAs over the weekend. In an already iconic video captured by Entertainment Tonight, Sophie screams Queer Eye star Jonathan Van Ness’ name and bolts towards him when she spots him backstage at the awards ceremony.
Jonathan responds by screaming and saying “You don’t know my name!” – proving he too loves GoT – to which Turner affirms, “I do!”
Naturally, the pair then embrace, as we too would attempt to do if we were to get anywhere near either of them.
“I’m so happy for your ending,” JVN says of Game of Thrones and Sophie becoming Queen in the North. “Oh, my god, I’m so relieved.”
Sophie responds with, “I’m obsessed with your show. I think you’re incredible.” She then drags Jonathan to meet her husband Joe, saying “You have to meet Joe! You haven’t met Joe yet.” When the Jonas Brothers singer and the reality TV star meet, Sophie watches on smiling.
We don’t know about you, but we’re obsessed with this new friendship.
