Why Sophie Turner’s Favourite Bracelet Should Be At The Top Of Your Christmas Wish List

Sansa Stark approved shopping

In the years since she burst onto our screens as the sometimes unbearable, young Sansa Stark on Game of Thrones, we’ve seen Sophie Turner grow both on screen and off. Throughout the cult show’s seven seasons, Turner’s character becomes a strong woman, who cares about the future of her country. In real life, the 22-year-old British actress feels the same way, using her platform – an Instagram following alone of 8m – to promote causes close to her heart (and make jokes about her famous fiance, Joe Jonas, of course).

Turner’s latest project is a bracelet which she designed collaboration with both Louis Vuitton and UNICEF for World Children’s Day. Taking inspiration from her good luck charm – a tattoo of a rabbit on her arm, plus the colours red and white: red, which is considered a lucky colour in China and white, as white rabbits are considered a lucky charm in the UK, Turner designed the silver locket bracelet with $100 of every one sold going directly to helping children in need.

“I wanted my bracelet to hold luck for all the children whom the proceeds from this bracelet go to. So I wanted to integrate the idea of luck and also inclusion of many countries and cultures,” Turner wrote on Instagram.

“I wanted to have the braids made of two colours; red and white. Red is considered a lucky colour in China. And the white coincides with my idea for having the little circular charm on the bracelet, a rabbit. A. Because WHITE rabbits are considered very lucky in the UK and a rabbit foot is considered lucky in many parts of Europe, China, Africa, North and South America,” she explained.

“It also has a little bit of me on there because I have the same rabbit designed tattooed on my arm by @curtmontgomerytattoos.”
