"It's been 10 years of my life and the best 10 years of my life by far," said Sophie of her Game Of Thrones career during an interview with Sky News back in May. However, she’s ready for her next challenge: "I think it's time to say goodbye to Sansa. I'm ready...ish, to say goodbye to her. I think my watch has ended."
While we're not sure *we're* ready, it's happening whether we like it or not.
Returning to the small screen for the first time since GOT, Sophie will play plane crash survivor Jane in the adaptation of Alex Morel's novel Survive. The story is about a plane that crashes on a snowy mountain and leaves only two passengers alive - Jane (Turner) and Paul (played by Corey Hawkins from Straight Outta Compton).
The thriller series will air on a new streaming service called Quibi, which is expected to launch in April 2020.
"I couldn’t be more honored to portray the role of Jane in 'Survive' for Quibi," Sophie said in a statement. "She’s a complex character fighting against the odds to not only save her life, but to also find her own source of strength and courage."
It's good to know Sophie's new character has a little bit of Sansa Stark in her!
"I only hope this can impact anyone struggling with self-worth to understand they are braver than they know and to seek the support they need," she added.
