More details are emerging from Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’ French nuptials, including the wedding dress the Game of Thrones star wore to marry her musician beau.
After a surprise Las Vegas wedding in May, where Sophie wore a white pantsuit with a long veil (and was married by an Elvis impersonator), and then a rehearsal dinner where the bride and groom wore bright red and the guests wore white, the verdict was out on whether Sophie would buck tradition for her official wedding dress in France.

Somewhat surprisingly, the 23-year-old opted to wear a traditional wedding gown custom-made for her by Louis Vuitton. In the one image of the dress, it appears that Sophie is wearing a V-neck white gown which has capped sleeves and clinches at the waist before dropping down into a full skirt. She wore her hair out with a long, floaty veil.
For the ceremony, “Sophie wore a long lace dress with sleeves. She had her hair down with a veil and had light makeup,” a source confirmed to E!
On the day, Sophie got ready with her bridesmaids at the venue – the Château de Tourreau, a breathtaking 16-bedroom, 16-bathroom private estate in Provence – while Jonas prepared separately with his groomsmen.
“Sophie was drinking champagne with her girlfriends and brunch was also delivered. Joe had a few shots with his groomsmen to ease the nerves,” E!‘s source told the site.
“Joe and Sophie both teared up while reading their vows. Everyone stood and cheered and they had huge smiles as they left as a couple. It was an emotional ceremony,” they continued.
Meanwhile, another source told Entertainment Tonight that the big day was everything the newlyweds wanted. “The couple enjoyed a nice week having fun at numerous events celebrating their union. Today was everything they wanted,” they said.
Guests included Ashley Graham, Dr. Phil, Maisie Williams and Priyanka Chopra who wore a pink dress to the wedding alongside Nick Jonas, who was in a black and white suit and one of Joe’s groomsmen. Joe and Sophie even had their dog, Porky Basquiat, wear a tux to the wedding.
