Sophie Turner Shows Off Her Wedding Ring While On Honeymoon

It's so beautiful

Despite currently being on her honeymoon with husband Joe Jonas, Sophie Turner took to Instagram Stories over the weekend to give us our first look at her stunning wedding ring.

The Game of Thrones actress, who married Jonas in a French chateau last weekend, took a break from her romantic dinner to chime in on the Women’s World Cup after England lost to the USA in the finals. During the game, US player Alex Morgan, who kicked the winning goal, pretended to sip from an imaginary cup of tea – something Turner does often on Instagram and which prompted backlash from people who called the gesture ‘arrogant.’

“Okay, I’m on my honeymoon. I’m not really looking at my phone much,” Turner said in the video. “But I feel like this deserves a mention. Unfortunately, the U.K. women’s football team lost at the World Cup. And of course I’m incredibly sad and incredibly proud of that team, but I am so honoured that we lost to such an incredible team, the U.S. women’s football team.”

“Alex Morgan, all the haters that are saying that this was disrespectful, I’m honoured that you thought of me and all those people that are hating on you are probably sitting at home, Millennials drinking Kombucha,” Turner continued. “And I’m really f–king proud of you, Alex Morgan, congratulations on your win. And that’s the motherf–king tea.”

Of course, while Turner’s defence of Morgan was brilliant and hilarious, we were more interested in getting our first glimpse at her new ring: a thin wedding band laced with sparkling diamonds, matching the stone on her engagement ring.

No word yet on where the famous newlyweds are honeymooning, but by the looks of Turner’s sun kissed skin and airdried hair, we’d say somewhere tropical and incredibly luxurious – they did wed in a castle, after all.
