The still is synonymous with some of the late Princess' most iconic looks—namely her 1981 wedding gown, designed by Elizabeth and David Emanuel. Like the film's image, the bridal design featured a long train, puff sleeves and an abundance of fabric.
The dress in the film's cover image also emulated that of a striking (albeit slightly less well-known) gown worn by Diana in 1987 at a James Bond film premiere. This strapless Emanuel dress again featured delicate gold detailing. Lo and behold, the People's Princess also paired a pearl necklace with the look.
Is Spencer giving you some must-watch vibes yet?
The film will mostly be set inside the family's Sandringham Estate, and will take place over the Christmas break. It follows the Princess' major realisation that her marriage is unravelling, subsequently prompting her to reevaluate her life.
Alongside her fragmented marriage, the film is set to touch on her incredibly close bond with her two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
There's not too long to wait now, expect the film to drop in cinemas on November 5.
