This Sunday, select Australian ELEVEN hair salons will donate 100% of their takings to global charity Hagar, helping survivors of human rights abuse in Cambodia and Vietnam. The campaign is called Style For Life, and the money will go towards the recovery and economic empowerment of women and children victims of trafficking or severe abuse.
“The United Nations estimates that over two million people will be sold into slavery every year,” Rachel Griffiths, Hagar's patron has said. “By taking part in Style for Life Day Australians can truly transform the lives of women and young people in nearby countries like Cambodia, Vietnam and Afghanistan.”
The campaign is now in its fourth year, and hopes to raise $60,000 for Hagar this year.
So if you needed a good excuse for a touchup, trim or blow dry, here it is- sans guilt!
There are 35 participating salons taking part this Sunday, July 31, find one near you here.
