Iconic Sydney Restauranteur Jackie Milijash Dies

Celebrities and friends pay tribute to the Sydney icon

Iconic Sydney restaurateur Jackie Milijash of the infamous celebrity hotspot Jackie’s Café at The Intersection in Paddington, has died.

The Sydney café, was a Sydney institution and a favourite of the likes of Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman and Naomi Watts.

No official cause of death has been released but a number of Milijash’s close friends took to social media to mourn the loss of their beloved friend.

A number of Aussie stars have also taken to social media to mourn the tragic loss.

Milijash, who started her business back in 1989 with the original Jackie’s Café on the corner of Liverpool and Kent Street, was also a colourful character on the Sydney social scene, making headlines when she grabbed the microphone off Elton John at James and Jodhi Meares’ wedding in 1999.
