When TV journalists Sylvia Jeffreys and Pete Stefanovic tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in NSW’s Kangaroo Valley in April this year, they were plagued by paparazzi (including one who accidentally drove into a dam).
But three months later, it’s one of their wedding guests who has been fined for capturing illegal footage from the day.
According to the Daily Telegraph, one of the guests has been fined $900 for breaking aviation laws on Jeffreys’ big day. The drone footage was posted on social media the day after the wedding, which was brought to the attention of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, the West Australian reports.
In Australia, it is illegal for drones to fly within 30-metres of people.
