While the flick’s plot is currently being kept under wraps, Swift’s involvement was initially hinted at by celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi, and has now been confirmed by multiple outlets, according to Collider.
Currently, no release date has been announced, however, the star-studded lineup is enough to pique interest until more information comes out. Joining Swift, Robbie, and Taylor-Joy onscreen, the film is also set to star Christian Bale, John David Washington, Rami Malek, Zoe Saldana, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, to name a few.
Making her film debut back in 2010 rom-com Valentine’s Day, Swift has since appeared as the voice of Audrey in The Lorax, alongside Meryl Streep and Jeff Bridges in The Giver and most recently, in 2019’s Cats, which earned significant criticism. But despite her past work, Swift's fans have taken to the internet to share their excitement over the trios onscreen presence, providing hope that an impressive film is headed our way.
Whether or not O. Russell’s period flick will be of the same disappointing calibre of Cats is yet to be determined, but with a cast including Swift, Taylor-Joy and Robbie, it’s bound to be impressive.
