Teenager Charged Over Murder Of Chef Aleesha Boyd

She had been missing since August 10

A 19-year-old Wagga Wagga man has been charged with the murder of chef Allecha Suzette Boyd, who went missing three months ago.

27-year-old Allecha, who was based in Wagga Wagga, was last seen on August 10 at Coolamon. Allecha had not posted on social media or accessed her bank accounts since her disappearance, and her body has not been found.

On Tuesday evening, a 19-year-old was arrested at his home, The Sydney Morning Herald reports. Police seized a shortened rifle and ammunition, believed to be the weapon used to allegedly kill Allecha.

The man has been charged with murder, possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm, possessing ammunition without a permit, not keeping a prohibited firearm safe and breach of bail.

It is unclear if he knew Allecha.

Detective Inspector Darren Cloake told the ABC police were still searching for Allecha’s body.

“Our ultimate aim is to locate the body of Allecha Boyd and we’re still seeking information from the public in relation to her whereabouts,” he explained.

In September, Allecha’s sisters made a desperate plea for any information about her whereabouts. Wiping back tears at a press conference, Tammara Boyd pled: “Allecha, if you can hear us, we just want you to know that we love you and we just want you to be safe”.

“Come home, call us, just know that anything that is wrong we can work it out, we can fix it I promise,” she added.
