Teenage Bradley Cooper Once Wrote An Article About Having Friends With Benefits

And it has resurfaced thanks to the internet

An article titled “When best friends cross the line,” might sound like a Carrie Bradshaw column, but the headline actually belongs to an op-ed written by none other than actor Bradley Cooper.

Turns out 18-year-old Cooper spent some time interning at The Philadelphia Daily News in 1993 when he still had a journalism career in his sights.

In the piece dug up by Philadelphia Enquirer writer Tommy Rowan, The Hangover star explains how he has embarked on a ‘friends with benefits’ relationship with his best friend Deborah Landes.

“Can best friends who are of the opposite sex hook up with each other without destroying their friendship? In my case, yes . . . so far,” young Coops writes.

“The reason we are able to cross that line and maintain our great friendship is that we really don’t know how to be anything other than best friends.”

But the high school senior points out that their relationship sadly might not survive after graduation.

“The real test will probably come when I have to hear about how much fun she is having at the shore this summer,” he ends the piece.

Spoiler altert: the f**k buddy agreement didn’t last; Cooper has dated model Irina Shayk since 2015 and the couple share a child.

But we’ll be happy to see more Bradley Cooper bylines in the future – perhaps he can write for us?
