Jamie Doran Has Shared His List Of Requirements For Future ‘Bachelor’ Contestants And It’s Wild

"Laugh at Osher's jokes"

As we approach the finale week of Locky Gilbert‘s season of The Bachelor Australia, Channel 10 are wasting absolutely zero time with finding his replacement for 2021.

After releasing applications for new contestants, ex-Bachelor In Paradise star Jamie Doran has shared his thoughts about what new contestants should know before signing up to the show.

Commenting on an Instagram post, Doran ripped into the series with his own list of how he interprets the prerequisites.

The sarcastic list includes tasks from “perform like a monkey” and “Laugh at Osher’s jokes” to “Be from a Caucasian background”.

The franchise has recently been in hot water over their lack of diversity on the show. Recently, ex-Bachelor In Paradise contestant Mary Viturino called out The Bachelorette over its lack of women on colour.

“While every single one of these women are beautiful, inspiring and deserving to find love, I was hoping Bachelorette would have listened to the Australian public—who have been asking for more diversity,” she said.

Doran’s clap back at Channel 10 comes after his plans to pursue legal action against the network and Warner Bros. Australia came to light, for his portrayal during his stint on this year’s Bachelor In Paradise.

Sharing a statement to his Instagram, Doran wrote:

“This is not the news I wanted to post, but I feel I owe this to at least my family, friends, and also fans of The Bachelorette and Bachelor In Paradise”.

“After lengthy consideration, I’ve decided to begin legal proceedings against Network 10 & Warner Bros Australia,” he said.

Concluding with, “I’m not going to comment on this any further for the time being, and would appreciate it if people would respect my privacy.”

A Network 10 spokesperson responded to Doran’s plans, saying: “Network 10 has not received any papers regarding this claim.”
