Rumour Has it, Locky ‘Reassured’ Bella That She Would Win Prior To ‘The Bachelor’ Finale

Apparently, he sent her a text telling her not to worry

For those who saw last night’s nail-biting finale of The Bachelor Australia, there was one moment that saw jaws drop nationwide—and no, it wasn’t Irena’s win.

When Locky revealed to Bella that he couldn’t imagine a future with her, it’s safe to say that Bella was more than blindsided by it.

But to make matters worse, rumours have begun to circulate that Locky actually reassured Bella that she had won, moments before they met for the finale.

According to The Wash, a source who was present for the show’s filming, has revealed that not only did Locky tell Bella (the night before!) that he was in love with her, but he also sent her “reassuring texts”.

“Ultimately losing Locky would have been the hardest for Bella, she was head over heels in love. Locky gave her a lot of reassurance that it was going to be her at the end,” the source said.

“He even texted her saying he couldn’t wait to make her happy for the rest of her life and talked about engagement rings. It has been heart shattering for her. Bels really thought this was going to be her happily ever after.”

With or without this potential truth, it’s easy to see why Bella was audibly shocked and irritated—further proving our point about Locky’s problematic behaviour.

“When I told you I love you, I meant every single word,” Locky half-heartedly told her in the finale. “I know you don’t see where your future is at the moment. I think I need just a little bit of certainty. I just don’t know if I can see us working.”

Unconvincing to Bella (and us), Locky’s failed attempts at justifying his decision led to Bella’s iconic response: “You can’t turn this around on me,” before turning to the producers and saying, “Can I leave?”

Shortly after the moment aired, Bella took to Instagram to reflect and open up about how it affected her.

She began, “I’m not entirely sure where to even start…When Locky told me he loved me and couldn’t wait to make me happy for the rest of my life, I believed him and trusted him wholeheartedly. We connected on so many levels right from the beginning, some you saw, but most you didn’t.”

“Having three months outside of filming completely changed the aspect of the show, it brought normality to the connection and we grew into what felt like a real relationship,” she said.

“Looking back; I’m proud of myself. I gave it my all, I was true to myself and I wore my heart on my sleeve,” she added.

Concluding her response, she is hopeful for her romantic future, saying: “I’m a firm believer that things happen for a reason and now was not my time, I’ll never stop being a hopeless romantic and I’m sure my happily ever after is still out there. Hopefully I don’t need to kiss too many more frogs 🐸✨”.

Well said.
